Start from Serengeti National Park and take down a gravel road through Naabi Hill Gate and enter Ngorongoro from the west.

The best part about the location of Ngorongoro Conservation Area is that it lies en route. It is only a three-hour drive from the town of Arusha, the beginning of all safaris in Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit.

Also, once you are inside Ngorongoro Conservation Area, game-viewing safaris around the conservation area are permitted for four-wheel-drive vehicles (4WD) only. Now, many tour companies offer services to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
